Interviews

Child Poverty

“I want more factors to be taken into account. The income method of measuring poverty is too simple. I believe that some families might appear to have become less poor simply because average incomes have fallen”

Abbie Keers Glass Attack

“We were just driving along and I was playing on my iPad and then started dozing off. I thought my gran’s tyre had popped, because it was more like a bang than a glass breaking.”

“We could see there was glass in her face, but we couldn’t put any pressure on her face to stop the bleeding. We just had to basically watch her bleed until we could get her to hospital.”

***

Gus Poyet

“To be honest playing against Arsenal was always going to be difficult. We were very bad on ball and made a lot of mistakes. You know playing in a certain way hasn’t worked for us today but it has been a big wake up call. Although not too many players have shown that they deserve to play at Wembley next week”
